"Coffee Pots"

The Tidmouth, Knapford and Elsbridge Railway eventually became part of the North Western Railway, and was constructed with the help of the young Sir Topham Hatt, who also designed four small 0-4-0 tank engines with vertical boilers that were nicknamed "Coffee Pots".

These engines were used by the North Western Railway to pull trucks from Anopha Quarry, but were worn out soon after Thomas was given charge of their branch line. They are currently working on Thomas' Branch Line as shunting engines although they also pull small freight trains occasionally. The four "Coffee Pot" engines are Joe, Erin, Chris, and Glynn.
