Pretty Polly was a London and North Eastern Railway engine. She was named after a female racehorse; in which Ed said that it was a silly name for an engine. Built in 1925 as an A1 class locomotive, she was converted to an A3 in 1944. Originally numbered 2560, she was later renumbered 61, becoming 60061 under British Railways. She is also one of Gordon and the Flying Scotsman's sisters.
