The Railway Works are located behind Crovan's Gate and was originally built in 1905 for repairs for the engines on the Sodor and Mainland Railway and eventually the engines on the North Western Railway. Since the Sodor Steamworks has opened the railway works are mostly used for painting and polishing the engines, although they will occasionally repair an engine if the Steamworks are too busy. The "Coffee Pots", Jock, and Ivo Hugh were all built here.
